FMG Support scoops Sunday Times accolade

FMG Support has been recognised for its employment excellence and ranked at number 67 in the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For Guide.

Now in its tenth year, the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For is the most comprehensive survey of workplace engagement in Britain. This year, 964 organisations registered to take part and the views of 230,000 employees were gathered across 70 aspects of the workplace to determine the rankings.

FMG Support’s results make it one of just three Yorkshire-based companies to appear in the guide, of which FMG Support achieved the second highest rating. Staff praised inspirational leadership within the business, achieving a top 20 score, and almost 80% of the team revealed that they admire FMG Support’s strong principles. Three-quarters of employees are excited by the direction the business is heading in and love working for the organisation.

FMG Support has enjoyed a sustained period of growth since 2007 and major contract wins including the Highways Agency, LeasePlan and ING have all contributed to a strong financial performance, despite the challenging economic climate. FMG Support’s emphasis on people at the heart of the business is reflected in the company’s rankings, and demonstrates that despite the recession, employee engagement remains high, which has a knock-on positive impact on customer service performance.

Mark Scanlon, managing director, commented: “As a business, we have always championed the importance of our people as a direct link to delivering excellent service for all of our customers, and so to be recognised within the definitive survey of working satisfaction is a great achievement. Maintaining such high levels of engagement despite the pressures of the recession is testament to the value that we place on our people and the positivity within our workplace is tangible whenever clients and suppliers visit us. We look forward to exceeding these satisfaction scores in the future.”

Nicola Cliffe, HR director, added: “Feedback from our team has long demonstrated that we have high levels of employee engagement, but we have worked hard to continue to exceed all expectations and create new ways to support our people personally and professionally, drawing the best from them. Interacting socially, celebrating departmental successes and promoting a family environment are all key to our ongoing success as a business.”
