FMG Support signs two new sponsorship deals

FMG Support is proud to announce the signing of new sponsorship deals with British side car team OTC Racing and Golf Professional Dan Thomas.

The British Sidecar Championship will be held in conjunction with the British Super Bikes during 2010. This is a perfect opportunity for FMG Support to show support to an upcoming young talent in Mike Highton and his highly experienced ex world champion driver Pete.

Sunday saw the first race of the season at a very cold and wintry Anglesey Race Circuit.  The temperature was 3 degrees and torrential rain was driven by gale force winds across the circuit making conditions very difficult.  The stewards decided that they would race both F1 and F2 machines in the same race.  (F1 = 1000cc engines  -F2 = 600cc engines) because of the difficult conditions.  The OTC team are F2 which put them at an obvious disadvantage,

OTC started from 7th on the grid because the larger machines had taken up most of the front spots.  However, this did not stop them getting a 4th out of 23 in the first race and 3rd out of 21 in the second race.  Considering the terrible weather and their obvious power disadvantage this was a tremendous effort.  We would like to wish them all the best for the rest of the season.

Look out for the FMG Support sidecar on BBC Two and Eurosport throughout the year.

FMG Support is backing Dan Thomas in his forthcoming season as he embarks on a campaign he hopes will result in a place on the European Tour. Thomas, who plays at Bradford Golf Club, is just two wins away from the full European Tour and playing alongside the biggest names in golf.

As part of the sponsorship package, Thomas will run golf days for FMG Support, provide coaching for its staff and act as an ambassador for the company. This will also open up the opportunity for customers to join us at Pro-Am events throughout the 2010 season.

FMG’s Divisional (RRRM) Managing Director, John Catling, said: “We are really pleased to be working with Dan and supporting him in his forthcoming season where we hope he will fulfil his potential and go on to play at the highest level.

“Dan has impressed us greatly and is exactly the type of person we at FMG Support associate ourselves with as he is ambitious, professional but above all someone we feel very comfortable with representing our company.

“I’m sure he will add great value and a new dimension to our business. “
