Top Graduates Flock to Work at Time Top 100 Company

Huddersfield-based vehicle incident management and roadside assistance company, FMG Support, is celebrating the outstanding success of its first ever graduate development programme.

The company, which was recently voted as one of the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For, launched the initiative in May this year, which called on ambitious, dynamic and forward thinking candidates to apply for a place on its Graduate Recruitment Programme.

FMG Support enlisted the help of recruitment partner, Best Graduates, to process a staggering 400 applications, and to shortlist candidates by CV, a series of telephone and face-to-face interviews, reducing the final numbers down to just ten. The successful few were then invited to FMG’s assessment centre at the company’s head office on St Andrews Rd, Huddersfield.

The candidates were put through an intensive assessment day, which looked for key attributes such as commercial awareness and the ability to work with others. The successful final three graduates recruited were; Laura Wordingham, University of York, MPhys in Physics, Frances Dyson, Durham University, BA Geography and James Neal, University of Leeds, BA Management.

Mark Scanlon, managing director, said: “We were absolutely delighted by the volume and extremely high calibre of graduates who applied for the scheme, particularly as it was the first of its kind for FMG Support.”

“We are very pleased to welcome, Laura, Frances and James to the business. Our robust training and development programme will enable them to build firm foundations on which to establish their career, and help to accelerate them into future leadership roles in the business. Their contribution to the business will have a significant impact on helping the company to achieve its long-term growth plans. We wish them every success in their future roles.”
